• Create and maintain your account and professional profile
• Display your information in the member directory (subject to visibility settings)

• Power AI-assisted features such as bio generation and message drafting
• Analyze usage patterns to improve the Platform
• Enforce our Terms and Conditions and prevent misuse

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

• With Other Members: Your professional profile information is visible to other verified members of the network, subject to your privacy settings and administrator-configured visibility controls.
• With Service Providers: We use third-party services including Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), and OpenAI (AI features). These providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations.
• For Legal Purposes: We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or governmental regulation, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users.
• With Your Consent: We may share information in other ways if you have given us explicit consent to do so.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information. These include encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL), secure authentication via Supabase Auth, row-level security policies on our database, and regular security reviews. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as resolving disputes or enforcing our agreements).

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access & Correction: You can view and update your profile information at any time through your account settings.
• Visibility Controls: Platform administrators configure which profile fields are visible in the directory. You can contact an administrator for adjustments.
• Account Deletion: You may request complete deletion of your account and associated data by contacting the Platform administrators.
• Communication Preferences: You can manage notification preferences through your account settings.

The Platform uses AI services (via OpenAI) for features such as bio generation and message drafting. When you use these features, relevant profile data may be sent to the AI provider to generate content. We do not send patient data or protected health information to any AI service. AI-generated content is provided for convenience and should be reviewed for accuracy.

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may collect anonymous analytics data to help us understand usage patterns and improve performance.

DFW Desi Docs is a professional networking platform and is not designed to be a HIPAA-compliant communication tool. Members must not share protected health information (PHI), patient records, or any patient-identifiable data through the Platform. For HIPAA-compliant communications regarding patient care, please use appropriately certified systems.

The Platform is intended for licensed medical professionals and is not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on the Platform with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We will make reasonable efforts to notify members of material changes.
